If you work or have worked recently get advice at 0845 300 3900 (8am to 8pm) or www.hrmc.gov.uk/taxcredits/ because you may have a right to maternity pay from your employer, and you may be entitled to Working Tax Credit as well as Child Tax Credit once your baby is born. If you dont work, you are In education or training and you live with your parents, you may not be able to claim anything yet but your parents will be able to claim Child Benefit, and possibly child Tax Credit for you

If you're 18 or over and live with your parents and are looking for work, you should be able to claim Income based Jobseekers Allowance

If you live on your own, you may be able to claim income based Jobseekers Allowance or. If you are in education or training, Income Support. However, you may have to show why you cant live with your family and/or why they cant support you.

Once you are 29 weeks pregnant then you may be able to claim Income Support If you havent already, but if you live with your parents this will only be possible if you are not in education or training.
